Delia Hamer is a German painter that grew up in Spain. After studying in Milan and then London for her Masters, Hamer now lives and works in Amsterdam. Hamer draws on the mythological and religious for her pieces as her subconscious sits between the lines of the tales of old and the biblical messages that influenced her mediterranean up-bringing. These dreamscapes usually feature a female figure, depicting the human soul with rawness and vulnerability-their closed eyes secluding them from the outside world. Her colour palette is rich and vibrant as she uses a variety of mediums in her work.
Delia Hamer has exhibited in Lisbon, Dublin, London, Paris and Évora .
